Drive DeVilbiss 525 — 5 L/min stationary oxygen concentrator for home use. The DeVilbiss 5 Litre concentrator is one of the most widely used home oxygen machines in the world. It draws in room air, removes the nitrogen and delivers continuous-flow oxygen at up to 5 litres per minute through a standard nasal cannula or mask, so there are no cylinders to refill. It is built for continuous daily use, has a simple flow knob and on/off switch, and includes visual and audible alarms for power loss and low oxygen concentration so carers know when something needs attention.

Setting up at home

Place the machine on a hard floor with clear space around it on all sides so air can circulate, away from curtains, heaters and anything that could block the inlet. Plug it directly into a wall socket rather than an extension lead, set the flow to the prescribed rate and allow a few minutes for the oxygen concentration to build before use. Do not smoke or use open flames in a room where oxygen is being used, and do not oil the machine or its fittings.

Care and servicing

Wipe the case with a damp cloth. Wash the external air filter weekly, let it dry fully and refit it; replace nasal cannulas and humidifier water as directed. Internal filters and sieve beds are serviced by a technician; message us if the machine alarms, sounds different or the flow ball drops.
